TSC2: Black and White and One Other Color

Hi everyone!

The Stampsmith has announced the winner of their first challenge and now it's time for the second challenge - Black and White and One Other Color using at least one Stampsmith image.  For all of the details and some lovely inspiration, pop on over to The Stampsmith Challenge today!

Here is my entry for this challenge, but I'm going to have to retake the picture in the sunlight.  Photography is a funny thing; it highlights the nuances of color choice.  Although the two small flowers look cream in color, they really are white - certainly not as white as the background paper, but, honestly, they are whiter in person! LOL!
Stamped Image: Serena by The Stampsmith
Nestabilities: Sm and Lg Ovals, Grand Labels 4, Fleur De Lis Pendant
Flowers: Lg Rose by Wild Orchid, Sm Carnations by Dollarama
Punches: Foliage and Photo Corners by Martha Stewart
Background texture: Polka Dots by Cuttlebug

  1. PS - even though you don't like the colours, they work for me!

  2. Oh Val, this is simply stunning! I love this new image of Serena and the fleur-de-lis are gorgeous! I love it! :)

Hey, I laughed when you mentioned about the white flowers looking cream...reminds me of a certain addition of silver to an all-white card..wink wink lol :)

  3. Lovely image! Love all the die cuts and embossing too!! Sometimes my photos are so off I wonder what the heck the camera was looking at. LOL.

  4. Beautiful card, Valerie! You have so beautifully connected colours:)

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! Your kind words are so inspiring...
