SDC196: Something old, something new...

It is time for this weeks' Stampotique Designer's Challenge.  Coby vanWilligenburg is our hostess this week and here is her challenge:
Something old
something new,
something borrowed
something blue
"I love this quote.......Get inspiration out of it, make what you want but let me see one or more aspects from this quote. Have a lot of fun!"
Here's my take on Coby's challenge.
  • Something old: cloth torn from the fabric mom used to make my wedding dress, book pages torn from an antique botany encyclopedia.
  • Something new:  the birds and the sentiment stamps are new to me, the Pinkpaislee Spring Jubilee tag and the bakers twine are also new
  • Something borrowed: the leaves for the rose are borrowed from a separate rose die
  • Something blue: bakers' twine and the birds

Stamps by Stampotique Originals:
Birds of a Feather, Take time to smell the roses, 1879 Postmark
“In order to see birds
it is necessary to become a part of the silence.”
Robert Lynd
